It is compulsory to submit your biometric fingerprints at the China Visa Application Centre If you are aged between 14 and 70 and applying for a multiple-entry visa.
Single and Double entry visa applicants are exempt from biometrics.

Required Documents

  • Applications are accepted at the Visa Application Centre in London by strict appointment only. 

  • Kindly send us all the below mentioned documents via email along with our questionaire. 

Tourist visa ( L category)

​

  •  Original passport.

With six months remaining on validity and at least two blank visa pages.

If you are a dual national or multi-national, you are requested to provide all current valid passports in your possession. Additionally, you may be also required to provide your previous passport(s) in support of your application.​

  • UK residence permit/BRP /eVisa (if applicable).​

  •  One new photo.​

(4.8 cm high x 3.3 cm wide) with white background. It must be without any shadows, ornaments.

  •  Documents showing the itinerary.

Including air ticket booking record (round trip) and proof of a hotel reservation, etc. or an Invitation Letter for Tourist issued by a relevant unit or individual in China together with photocopy of both front and back sides of Chinese ID (for Chinese citizens) or foreign passport and residence permit (for foreign citizens) provided by the inviter. The invitation letter should contain:

Information about the applicant (incl. full name, gender, date of birth, etc.);

Details of the planned visit (incl. arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, accommodation arrangements, etc.);

Information about the inviting party (incl. name of organization or person concerned, contact telephone number, address, ID number of the individual inviter, official stamp of the organization, signature of the legal representative or individual).

For Business Visa ( M Category )

  • Invitation letter.

 

Of Duly Authorised Unit or a Confirmation letter of Invitation issued by an authorised unit in China which must contain full name and passport number of the invitee as well as the purpose and duration of the visit; OR

 

A letter of invitation from a company in China which must contain applicant’s full name, passport number, passport issue and expiry date, gender, date of birth, purpose of visit, date of arriving and leaving China, place(s) of visit, relationship between the applicant and the inviter, financial support during stay in China. Confirmation of the inviter’s name, company name, address, contact number, company stamp and signature

Letter must also state who is providing financial support during the stay in China. â€‹

EU Nationals: You need to provide UK current account bank statements for the last 3 months and letter from employer confirming date of employment, job title and that you will return to work after trip to China.

Please note that most visas for UK passport holders are now issued multiple entry with 2 years validity. You must have used two 2 year visas to be eligible to apply for 5 year multiple entry visa.

Processing time:

After the submission  visa typically takes two to four working days to process  if all the accompanying documents meet the requirements.
